long paragraph where i discuss something on my mind. for example, now that england's lost the world cup semifinal i keep seeing ads that are still about the world cup, and they invoke the same level of sadness i feel when i see christmas adverts between the 26th and 31st december. actually, it's especially sad between the 1st and 6th of january. i know there's plenty of cultures to whom the 6th january is a lot more important, but unfortunately uk advertisers do not have the many observers of epiphany/three kings' day high on their list of priorities.

if i write a couple of lines in this paragraph, it looks like it's enough to make this scroller, well, scrollable. pretty neat tbh! one thing i want to achieve by re-editing this website is making it nice and navigable both for myself and anyone who stumbles upon this site. i can't really believe it took me this long to work out how to make boxes scrollable but then again, the first iteration of this site was totally innavigable on my end and a lot of the code i wrote was really, really bad so i did manage to make it easier for myself while building website 2.0. hopefully mark 3.0 will be even easier to edit :)
